Welcome to another hour of A Touch Of Pink, your show for tracks with a pop trash / remix flava and an emphasis on GLBTIQ content/artists.

For the final show for the Winter Grid, it’s another all GLBTI content mix of wonderful uplifting songs. This week the artists include Erasure, Parralox, Bronski Beat, Damien Mancell, Dirty Disco and Dead or Alive ft Pet Shop Boys.

My Song Of The Week is ‘World Be Gone’ by Erasure, the 2^nd single from their new CD of the same name. The reason I love it is because it is a ballad, for a change, and also just a lovely pop song. For me this is what pop music is all about. A nice tune, well sung and not too many gimmicks. The band began and 30+ years later they are still putting out a quality product. Love ‘em.

What have we seen this week ?

Film : Paris Can Wait : This is a very light film, thin plot etc,but it is a road trip to Paris with Diane Lane and a Frenchman (not her husband), passing through Provence, and stopping at numerous restaurants, with lots of flirting and travelling through gorgeous scenery. If this is your idea of fun (it’s mine also), then it passes a couple of hours beautifully. If not, steer clear.

Film : War For Planet Of The Apes : I was expecting more of an action movie, so this long (nearly 2 ½ hours) was a pleasant surprise. It starts off fairly slowly, with lots of plot development and background, eventually building up to an intense climax., which is where most of the actions and fighting occurs. Worth considering.
