Substituting HIV

This week has been relieved by Jim and temporary co-hosts James (the podcaster, making his second appearance in two years), J.P. (from Right Here, Right Now on Tuesday nights) and Dr. Vincent Cornelisse (recurring guest and HIV expert).

On the phone from his home is Dr. Clovis Palmer, here to share his thoughts on long-term injectables and treatments, which are making in-roads on the crusade for HIV treatment.

Vincent also gives his thoughts on PrEP studies and TAFF experiments both here and abroad, along with the simian test subjects who endured them.

There are also some comparisons made to Denmark, where medical journals centred in HIV treatment are widely available, with the limited access and treatments we have in Australia.

Living Positive Victoria has a new project being trailed, Senior Voices, which is set to be discussed further in a later episode, but is previewed here through LGBT-inclusive retirement homes.

Aired on the 28th of March, 2016.
