Swinging sounds of the amazingly talented Cyrens

Amanda Harrison (‘Wicked’), Chelsea Gibb (‘Chicago’ and ‘Cabaret’) and Melissa Langton (‘The Fabulous Singlettes’) and three amazingly talented women who have come together to present the swinging songs of Cy Coleman for this years Melbourne Cabaret Festival.

They joined Michael and Dean on MAD Wednesday to come and have a natter and a laugh and to sing a song, which was not only hilarious, but beautiful. Having their amazing harmonies in the studios made us jump for joy. You can check out a video below from our facebook page.

You can catch them at their musical revue celebrating the legendary Broadway composer and jazzman Cy Coleman at the Melbourne Cabaret Festival from 27^th June to the 1^st of July.

Cy Coleman’s songs are known for their sophistication and wit and while he is known for shows such as Sweet Charity, Barnum, On the Twentieth Century, The Life and City of Angels, his musical roots were in the jazz world. He was definitely the coolest cat on Broadway!

Cyrens is performed with a four piece band, some dangerously close three part harmony, arrangements by Mark Jones and a few jokes and a dash of Bob Fosse.
