New music to weekdays (19 November, 2014)

Erasure – Reason (MUTE)
Mark Picchiotti & Rufus Proffit – Shelter (MJUZIEEK)
Band Aid 30 – Do They Know It’s Christmas (EMI)
Clean Bandit ft Jess Glynne – Real Love (ATL/WMA)
Tiësto ft DBX – Light Years Away (UMA)
Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk (SME)
Samantha Jade – Sweet Talk (SME) [AU]

UK duo Erasure – with out-and-proud Andy Bell out front as usual – kick off our new additions this week with the second single from their 16th studio album. The single package has a swag of remixes, including impressive reworks from JRMX and Melbourne’s own Parralox.

American out-and-proud DJ-producer Mark Picchiotti returns to our airwaves with a new vocalist: out-and-proud Rufus Proffit. ‘Shelter’ is a big old-school vocal-house track with plenty of style.

The 30th-anniversary rework of ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ is a star-studded affair, this time with sales of the single to benefit the fight against Ebola in Africa. If you want to donate directly, see the video, or for more information check out the website.

Classically influenced production group Clean Bandit have once again teamed up with Jess Glynne, who collaborated on their first massive worldwide hit ‘Rather Be’. Real Love is available on a new ‘special edition’ re-release of the group’s debut album.

Dutch producer Tiësto follows up two previous top 10 singles from his current album with Light Years Away. Another hit in the making, we expect.

English musician, DJ, singer and producer Mark Ronson has teamed up with Bruno Mars for an excellent throwback to seventies funk and soul with Uptown Funk.

Flying the flag for the Aussies this week is 2012 X Factor winner Samantha Jade with her latest. ‘Sweet Talk’ is expected to be the lead single for a full-length debut album in 2015.

Set your alarm and tune into Rochén and Michael on the six at six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
