New music to weekdays (30 March, 2016)
DJ Tanner Derrby ft. Jyle Frame | More than Friends | (IND)
Hailee Steinfeld ft. DNCE | Rock Bottom | (UMA)
Dua Lipa | Be the One | (WBUK/WMA) |
If you caught the Mardi Gras Parade broadcast on SBS a few weeks ago, then you would have heard More than Friends throughout. The debut single for out-and-proud Sydney-based producer DJ Tanner Derrby, featuring the singing talents of out-and-proud Sydney-based independent singer Jyle Frame, kicks off our new music this week.
American singer-songwriter and actress Hailee Steinfeld had a top 20 hit in the US late last year with ‘Love Myself’, but it only cracked the top 100 in Australia. She’ll be hoping that a quick promo tour last week and a team-up with Joe Jonas’ funk outfit, DNCE, for her next single, Rock Bottom, gives her a better result this time around.
Dua Lipa is a British singer-songwriter of Albanian heritage and probably the first big find of 2016. We expect big things on the Australian charts for Be the One, and we think you’ll agree.
Set your alarm and tune into Rochén, Adam or Michael on the six at six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
