Off the back of her highly successful Eurovision Song Contest entry and hit single ‘Sound of Silence’ in Sweden and at home, plus a top five for her album Classic Carpenters, Dami Im is not resting on her laurels. She’s bolted out of the gate with a brand-new hot, hot single, ‘Fighting for Love’. Dami kicks off our new music this week.

Canberra-based electronic duo Peking Duk have teamed up with Swedish artist Elliphant for their latest single, ‘Stranger’, and it’s already loitering at the top of the charts after just a few days.

Perth-based out-and-proud singer-songwriter Troye Sivan returns with the third single from his Blue Neighbourhood debut album. Teaming up with recent chart-topping expat Aussie Betty Who, ‘Heaven’ is likely to be another hit for the 21-year-old.

British out-and-proud singer-songwriter Shura returns with the second single from her debut album, Nothing’s Real. The title track is another shiny pop offering with heart.

Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara has a brand-new single, ‘Scars to Your Beautiful’.

British singer-songwriter Aston Merrygold is a former member of JLS who scored a big hit here in Australia last year with ‘Get Stupid’. He has now teamed up with UK-based producers LDN Noise to release ‘I Ain’t Missing You’, a pop song with a distinctly harder edge than his previous work.

American electronic duo The Knocks produced a little disco-infused pop single about a year ago with out-and-proud former Glee star Alex Newell. Collect My Love scored a remix package last month, but more importantly it’s now been used in the US Centers for Disease Control’s new HIV health campaign, Start Talking, Stop HIV. We think you’ll love it.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
