Kicking off our new music this week is Aussie chart stalwart (and Eurovision veteran) Guy Sebastian. His latest EP, Part 1, has been doing really well in the charts, and the second single, ‘Mind On You’, produced by M-Phazes, is electronic dance music-light and an excellent pop tune.

Robbie Williams continues to dominate the UK charts with every release, but in Australia he skirted the top 40 with the recent ‘Love My Life’, which was his first appearance in our charts since 2009. He’ll be hoping ‘Mixed Signals’, co-written with Brandon Flowers (The Killers), turns that around just a little.

In a first for JOY weekdays, American producer-DJ-singer duo The Chainsmokers hit our playlists. They’ve teamed up with American rock band Coldplay and launched this latest single, performing it live at the Brit awards just last week.

Scottish DJ-producer-singer Calvin Harris has enlisted out-and-proud American singer-songwriter-rapper Frank Ocean as well as Hip-Hop duo Migos for his latest single. The most recent in a string of hit collaborations, ‘Slide’ is another guaranteed hit.

Russian DJ-producer Zedd is continuing to produce music with a range of high-profile young artists, and the latest is Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara. ‘Stay’ is a typical Zedd dance-floor banger.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
