Kicking off our new music this week is Brisbane-based pop trio Mischief. The band started out as a four-piece in 2015 and have been regularly releasing a new track every few months. We supported their previous original release, ‘Next to You’, late last year, which we thought at the time was their strongest offering to date. This time around the girls have elected to take on a classic pop hit from 1997 by their fellow Aussie Natalie Imbruglia. On first listen to ‘Torn’, we were sold – this is a damn good 2017 remodel – and we think you will love it too.

Sydney-based out-and-proud singer-songwriter Damien Mancell returns to our playlist with his latest excellent dance-pop offering, ‘Moonlight’.

American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth has three previous multi-platinum-selling singles to his name here in Australia. There’s every indication his latest single, Attention, will do at least as well.

UK stars Little Mix will be back in Australia for a second arena tour in July as they ride a wave of massive success, including four multi-platinum-selling singles in just the past year. Their latest single, No More Sad Songs, is the third from their fourth studio album, Glory Days, and is destined to be another big performer for one our favourite bands right now.

Tennessee-based pop-rock band Paramore have been producing hits at home and here in Australia since 2005. The first single, Hard Times, from their fifth studio album, After Laughter, is a standout. We know you’re going to love this one.

Eighteen-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes is about to embark on a world tour to support his 2016 album Illuminate as well as his four Australian multi-platinum-selling singles. To ensure he keeps it fresh he’s moved on from his current album and released a brand new single, There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back, which we think has hit written all over it.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
