Kicking off our new music this week is a collaboration of epic musical proportions. Australia’s own out-and-proud singer-songwriter Troye Sivan teams up with DJ Mag’s #1 DJ in the world for 2016, Dutch producer Martin Garrix. There for You is a love song, and the video more than plays up the undeniable aesthetic appeal of both artists to their respective fan bases. We’re totally on board for this one.

Melbourne-based out-and-proud singer-songwriter-producer Alius (aka Sebastian Ivanov) has been kicking goals lately, and his latest single, ‘Nobody Can Hear You’, featuring Triple J Unearthed star Melbourne-based out-and-proud singer Ariela Jacobs, is an earworm you’ll not want to escape.

Canadian pop star Carly Rae Jepsen is best known for her worldwide surprise hit in 2011, ‘Call Me Maybe’, but to a legion of dedicated fans across the world, she is simply the most underrated pop star of a generation. Ensuring her credentials for this title remain intact is her latest single, ‘Cut to the Feeling’ – a slice of unadulterated pop joy.

Melbourne-based independent singer-songwriter Libbi Steel has been carving out a niche on the European dance scene in the past year, and her latest single is released via Italian label CDF Produzioni. ‘Crayzee’ is her second single on JOY and a follow-up to her 2016 release, ‘Refall in Love’.

British singer Rita Ora has found a new home at Atlantic Records and is relaunching her career with a new single, ‘Your Song’, co-written by Ed Sheeran and Steve Mac. We think it’s a sure-fire hit.

Aussie hip-hop and urban singer-songwriter Tkay Maidza continues to impress us with her musical dexterity. Successfully blending urban sensibility with a dance-pop flair, her latest single, ‘Follow Me’, is well worth getting your ears around.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
