‘Cherie Davidson is a jack-of-all-trades indie game developer and game lecturer at RMIT, currently working on Wander MMO and Inventory Imp. She has a strong interest in meaningful game design and loves the technical joy of problem solving through code. In 2011 she completed a degree in Digital Art (Games) with Distinction, and in 2013 followed it up by completing a second bachelor degree, Games and Graphics Programming, with marks placing her in the top 2% of graduates that year. In her spare time she develops games fuelled by her personal interest in topics of feminism, social justice, politics and occasionally even fun.’

Footnote: Melbourne GGJ 2015 reached their longstanding goal of only 20% women 🙁 not the 30-something%  mentioned in the interview).
However! There’s a much better stat Cherie discovered and forgot to mention: Freeplay had over 50% female – identifying speaker this year.
