MIFF 2016: Under The Shadow, talking to director Babak Anvari

In the studio July 28th 2016 and Sonja Hammer-The Squeamer speaks to two awesome chaps director Babak Anvari and producer Oliver Roskill about their film Under The Shadow, described as a 2016 Iranian-British Horror film set in the increasingly oppressive world of 1980s Iran, at war with Iraq, and :

BABAK IS A BAFTA NOMINATED, AWARD WINNING FILMMAKER BASED IN LONDON. HIS FEATURE FILM DEBUT ‘UNDER THE SHADOW’ WILL BE PREMIERED AT SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL IN 2016. And on the producer Oliver Roskill ( from WigwamFilms page) : Oliver began his production career with Centrifugal Films in New York, where he worked on a number of independent feature films, including CONFESS and DIGGERS. In 2005, Oliver returned to London, working with leading production companies such as RSA, Blink and Pulse films. Oliver joined Filmworks Dubai in 2008, producing commercials for clients such as Pepsi, General Motors and Emirates.

Oliver co-founded Wigwam Films in 2012,along with producing the Sundance 2016 break out, UNDER THE SHADOW, the Farsi language horror set during the Iran-Iraq war. This year Oliver has produced IBOY, a sci-fi action thriller to be released worldwide on Netflix.
