Un-Safe Schools and Getting Tested

Last week,  13-year-old Tyrone Unsworth took his life following years of relentless bullying over his sexuality.

Today, Kids Helpline reported a steady increase in LGBTIQ kids reaching out to their counselling service for support.

The first half of tonight’s program discusses the effects of schoolyard bullying on LGBTIQ young people, what may be causing levels of distress to rise, and the need for school-based education and anti-bullying programs.
