It is our annual RADIOTHON!!! We are out, loud and very, very proud.

In Radiothon week, we take a moment to look how far JOY 94.9 has come and the impact that this Melbourne community radio station has on the global LGBTIQ community.

You might be surprised just how far we reach around the globe. And we are one of only 3 full-time LGBTI radio stations on the public airwaves IN THE WORLD!!!

Over 22 years ago, JOY took to Melbourne’s airwaves.

• But what drives a small group of people to set up and operate a uniquely LGBTIQ radio station?
