Broadcast – 18 October 2016
To quote a famous song – “I believe the children are our future”. And to that end, changes in LGBTI rights in the Pacific region must be in the hands of our youth. Which is why young leaders from across our region gathered in Sydney for the 2016 LGBTI Pacific Youth Forum.
- Why do half of the nations in the Pacific still criminalise same-sex relations?
- How are today’s youth using social media to get their message through?
- What can young people do to access religious leaders as allies for change?
Guiding the hands and minds of LGBTI youth across the Pacific is our guest Jaz Dawson – Secretary and Director of Kaleidoscope Australia Human Rights Foundation, the hosts of the 2016 LGBTI Pacific Youth Forum held in Sydney.
