What I’ve Seen This Week :

Film : The Chaperone : Fascinating film based on real life events, about a society woman travelling to New York to chaperone the young Louise Brookes on her trip to the city for some dance lessons. Set in 1922, the plot concerns the chaperone more than Louise, and it shows the position men held in society, and the problems woman had in finding their own voices. The gay subplot is an interesting bonus.
