Song Of The Week: Meltdown from Jake Shears. Latest single from his solo career, and a tribute to the dance stylings of Sylvester. It’s virus-time and we want to party, like it’s 1999, and this song will put you into that mood. Keep it simple and they will come to dance. There is also a fab-u-lous video of his superlative performance on the Masked Singer doing a cover of Kate Bush’s Babooshka. How he managed to convey such emotion in a unicorn costume is astonishing. I’m also looking forward to his duet with Bright Light Bright Light called Sensation (on BLX2’s forthcoming album Fun City) due out in September.
