DMJO’s Big Band RESOLUTION

DMJO Resolution Album CoverDaryl McKenzie, Melbourne Trombone Player, Composer, Arranger, Musical Director and Big Band Leader, spoke with David Moyle on Bent Notes about his memories of the spontaneity of working in the band on Hey Hey It’s Saturday, and the many aspects of Big Bands that draw you in and keep you coming back for more – the dynamics, the contrast, and the infectious nature of the ever present excitement from the moment that the Big Band starts playing.

The Daryl McKenzie Jazz Orchestra (DMJO) are releasing their brand new album RESOLUTION at the Paris Cat Jazz Club on Monday July 30, 2018.  The album features compositions from Daryl McKenzie, Roger Schmidli, Lachlan Davidson, Gianni Turcio, Mat Jodrell, Nick Mulder and Niels Rosendahl.   Daryl’s special guest on the night is vocalist Michelle Nicolle.
