2021: LGBTIQ+ Aged Care Navigators

Welcome to the 2021 Better Together Conference Podcast. Recorded live at the Adelaide Convention Centre on the 18th and 19th of June, 2021. These sessions were proudly recorded and produced by JOY 94.9.  

This session offers education to older LGBTQIA+ people about how to navigate the aged care system and informs providers about inclusive care. 
The session explains: who the Navigators are, what makes effective aged care system service navigation for older LGBTI people; what service providers need to know and what they can do; provide education/information to older LGBTI people about their rights, choices and how to engage with the aged care system.
