cropped-pride-cup-logo-with-text-large-copy1The 2015 Pride Cup will be held on Sunday 17 May 2015 at Yarra Glen Recreation Reserve. The Pride Cup celebrates diversity and tackles homophobia in sport for lesbian, gay, transgender, bisexual and intersex (LGBTI) communities and this year is also highlighting the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).

JOY 94.9 is a proud media partner for the 2015 Pride Cup and will be broadcasting all of the action live from midday. This includes interviews, speeches from the AFL 2015 Pride Cup luncheon, game commentary, the Cup presentation and more. The 2015 Pride Club will be played between Yarra Glen and Warburton Millgrove and there will be a range of games netball and football games played on the day, ending with the senior football Pride Cup match and presentation. A rainbow will be painted over the 50 metre line of the football ground and a wide range of community organisations and vendors will also be set up at Yarra Glen Recreation Reserve as a part of the Pride Cup celebrations.

Come along to the Pride Cup to support inclusion in one of the nation’s favourite sports and acknowledge IDAHOBIT, or hear it all unfold live on JOY 94.9 from 12pm to 5pm.
