Volunteer Achiever of the Month – October 2017
Each month we will be highlighting a volunteer who has achieved excellence in the pursuit of JOY’s values: Integrity, Leadership, Sustainability, Respect and Inclusion.
In the month of October we have seen a lot of teamwork, resilience and caring from the organisation’s volunteers. It has been wonderful to see people pacing themselves and taking time to rest and be with loved ones, as well as putting in some great work. While there have been many amazing contributions, we would like to celebrate one volunteer in particular who we saw demonstrate excellence in the pursuit of our values.
Bree McAullay has been a valued member of the Chicks Talkin’ Footy team for about a year now. She shows amazing courage through her volunteering at JOY. She is a naturally quieter person than many radio presenters, but consistently pushes herself outside of her comfort zone to speak out on behalf of sports fans everywhere and challenge narratives around women and sports. The Chicks Talking Footy team were just awarded the CBAA’s Troy Garner Excellence in Sports Programming Award and Bree was there, at her own expense, to be part of receiving the gong.
Bree makes amazing contributions to our values and mission – thank you for being a part of the team, Bree!
