GiveOUT Day is back October 15th!
GiveOUT Day returns this year on Friday the 15th of October for a massive day of supporting our rainbow community!
Following the success of last year, GiveOUT Day 2021 will see 80 LGBTIQA+ organisations and projects from around the country come together to participate in the special occasion.
GiveOUT Day is a national day of giving to LGBTIQA+ projects, community groups and not-for-profit organisations. Any donations made to LGBTIQA+ organisations on GiveOUT Day (15th of October) are doubled by GiveOUT and their partners.
GiveOUT Day helps build awareness of LGBTIQA+ causes, raise funds for vital services and expand networks for a variety for community focused LGBTIQA+ organisations. Some of the organisations participating this year include JOY, Archer Magazine, YGender, Thorne Harbour Health, Melbourne Queer Film Festival, Beyond Bricks and Bars and many more.
LGBTIQA+ communities have access to less than 50 cents in every 100 dollars of available resources from philanthropy and government. LGBTIQA+ organisations already do a lot with a little – but with significant financial support, many will be able to better advocate for LGBTIQA+ causes and robustly build the on-going delivery of necessary services.
LGBQTIQA+ organisations are the first responders for the community, working tirelessly to increase access to services, promote equal rights and provide much needed relief and resources. Spread the word to support the LGBTIQA+ community on GiveOut Day this October!
