This week on the show, it’s all about those console exclusives. When we say exclusive, we’re talking about certain video games or franchises that only appear on one console, loyal and dedicated to Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo (and by loyal and dedicated we mean contractually obligated). Exclusive game franchises can be incredibly important to the longevity of a console – after all, if you don’t have any exclusives available that people want to play, why wouldn’t consumers just buy one of your competitors instead?

Join Luke, Elliot, Cam and Edith as they discuss the impact video game exclusives have on the industry. Does it help or hurt consoles? What are some of the benefits for developers and consumers when a video game franchise is exclusive to one brand? What about timed exclusives? Exclusive content? Where do PC games fall into this? Are we ever going to be in a place where all games are multi-platform?

Also on this episode, Rachel gets her bananas ready as she reviews Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze for the Nintendo Switch!
