This is my second last show and how better to celebrate than to bring in my Diff’rent Strokes co-host, David Lim.

David is moving overseas and after presenting and producing radio together for 6 years I wanted the chance to have one last show together before he moves overseas in two months.

Music Pick of The Week

Back when I was doing Diff’rent Strokes on Thursday breakfast I desperately would try every week to find indie tracks that would appeal to traditional pop music listeners. One of my discoveries and picks of the week was a song called Recover by Scottish indie electro band, Chvrches.

They released their debut album last week, The Bones of What You Believe. The four lead up singles: Recover, Lies, Gun and The Mother We Share are all danceable indie electro with twee vocals and thumping bass and reverb. That’s not all these guys have to offer, there’s definitely more moody tracks on the album one of which I played called Tether. The whole album is a great debut. This along with Naked and Famous’s latest, Rolling Waves have been dominating my playlist this week.
