Your Weekly Guide to What’s Hot in Music

These are the tracks that people are talking about:

Title Artist Comment
Post Malone Sam Feldt / RANI • Sam Feldt just hit us with an infectious party track all about staying up and celebrating individuality into the early hours. “Post Malone” uses the rapper’s name with much admiration, as RANI sings the lyrics — tonight we go all night long, we party like Post Malone.
• Just like the track itself, the official video for ‘Post Malone’ is all about attracting good vibes and sharing awesome moments with your favorite people. The clip is based around the concept of a never ending after party that just gets crazier and crazier as the time passes, and is strongly linked to the lyrics behind the song. Shooting the video together with RANI and the actors was really cool and to be honest happened so fast! We finished the whole clip shoot in a day, and that’s including the Ferrari shots!
• Check it out and catch the vibe!
Talk It Out Matt Corby / Tash Sultana • Matt Corby / Tash Sultana FINALLY collaborate. And boy oh boy we have been waiting for this one to drop!
• There’s a saying: life is what happens when we’re busy making other plans. This seems to have rung true for both Tash and Matt who, after having an initial jam sesh in 2017, both were led down hectic music making and touring paths of their own.
Don’t Let A Good Girl Down Thelma Plum • Thelma Plum is an Indigenous Australian singer/songwriter from Delungra, New South Wales. Now based in Melbourne, she is a graduate of the Music Industry College in Brisbane. She released her debut EP, Rosie, in March 2013 and followed it up with a second, Monster, in 2014.
• ‘Don’t Bring A Good Girl Down’ skewers double standards as Thelma sings ‘pick a side that only suits you at the time’,
• Thanks for articulating your truth girl – double standards is just another word for lack of equality – lets hope the powers that be stop sitting on their hands and recognise us all as the same
