/ Jacq and Dene / Arts / Interview: Katherine Back from The Back Room, Carlton

Jacq and Dene chat to Katherine about a new, dedicated space for the LGBTIQ+ community and its allies, featuring crafternoons and more.

The Back Room opened in January and sells books, zines, art prints, music, stationery and homewares. Every dollar you spend at the store goes to queer artists.

There are a series of crafternoons happening from July onwards. Some people have brought their own projects including crocheting, doona cover-making and whittling. Yes, whittling!

Dene goes on to educate the gang on “hobbytex” and macrame.
