History is so important and for the LGBTIQ+ community, often much of it isn’t documented or is fragmented in people’s personal stories.

It impacted frontline nurses and the community in ways that perhaps we never really understood – until now!
Geraldine Fela is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of History and Archaeology, Macquarie University. Geraldine has researched and written a new book titles Critical Care – Nurses on the frontline of Australia’s AIDS Crisis.
