Em McGowan: Water Polo Pride Match

Sport should be for everyone, but that’s not always the case. That’s why initiatives like Pride games are vital—they create visibility, celebrate inclusion and convey that LGBTQIA+ people belong in sports.

On Sunday 23 March 2025, Victorian Phoenix is hosting the only pride game in the Australian Water Polo League, and they have partnered with Pride Cup to make it an event that truly deepens understanding and fosters inclusion.
