After 25 years the Xchange Hotel closes it’s doors, making it the 3rd Gay Venue in Melbourne to do so in a matter of months. Is this the end of the Melbourne Gay Scene as we know it, or perhaps just a rebirth of the old, into the new? Paul Anthony of JOY 94.9 interviews outgoing owner of the Xchange Hotel Kevin Attwood about it’s closure. Was he pushed, are people too critical of the venues demise, or after 25 years was it just time to go?
