Red Cross ‘Big Cake Bake’

image002 (1)In this podcast, JOY presenter Gordon is joined by Nicole of Red Cross to discuss the annual Big Cake Bake, happening in August right across the country.

The Big Cake Bake is a fun, easy and rewarding way to support Red Cross and anyone can join in. Get together with friends, families colleagues and neighbours and fundraise for Red Cross.

Events can include a morning or afternoon tea, cake sale or baking competition. The official event date is Monday, 31st August 2015, but events can be held anytime throughout August. You can register as an individual or team and bake your favourite cake, slice, pie, cupcake, cookie or dessert in support of a great cause.

Go online to the Big Cake Bake and find lots of delicious recipes from Chris Bath, Kate Ritchie, Maggie Beer, Poh Ling Yeow, Pamela Clark, Alvin Quah, Adrian Richardson, Anna Gare, Rowie Dillon and Stefano Manfredi.

All donations raised from Big Cake Bake will support the everyday work of Red Cross, including programs and services to help some of the most vulnerable people in Australia and further afield.

For more information about the Red Cross Big Cake Bake go online to http://www.bigcakebake.org.au, email bigcakebake@redcross.org.au or call 1800 652 635.
