Creative wonder Jacob Boehme

Aboriginal, Actor, Arts, Dancer, Gay, Society & Culture

This Lefty Pinkoes podcast features an insightful, camp, sometimes irreverent chat with dancer, choreographer, puppeteer, actor, all-round creative wonder Jacob Boehme. The lad hails from the Kaurna and Narranga Peoples of South Australia and identifies as a proud gay man. Jacob has been offered a placement as part of the British Council’s Accelerate program – a tailored leadership experience aimed at promoting networking and skills development; the placement will see him scoot off to London in November.

Jacob joins us on JOY to yarn about his artistic practice as well as his camp and cultural leanings. We’re also joined by curatorial cultural warrior Kimberley Moulton who gives us a glimpse into her Accelerate experiences of 2013; and a hot tip for those wanting to explore the must-sees of Melbourne’s arts scene.

N.B. Our chat was recorded on the night of a full moon and this is the most probable reason for bryan’s no-shame, on-air irreverence.
