/ Mad Wednesdays / Health / Did you get checked up during STI Health Awareness Month?

September is STI Health Awareness Month, and everyone should Talk, Test and Treat! It is always important to remind everyone that anyone that is sexually active should take action to look after their own sexual health and help stop the spread of STIs.

Dean, Ash & Robbie talk about the last time they got a check up on MAD Wednesday as they chat to Michael Whelan from Hide and Seek on JOY from the Australasian HIV & AIDS Conference in Sydney.

With the news released that , according to new statistics, HIV diagnoses among heterosexuals have increased by 10 per cent over the past five years, it never hurts to remember that there is no shame in talking about sexual health and in going and getting checked up. The more we break down the barriers and stigma about STI testing the more aware we will all be.
