Have your say at TGA Community Forums on Poppers Ban

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) recently postponed its decision on whether or not to change the law around alkyl nitrites (the active ingredient in ‘amyl’ or ‘poppers’) and make it a prohibited substance, and are holding community forms in Melbourne and Sydney to gage responses and feedback about the proposed ban.

Michael Whelan from Throne Harbour Health joined Robbie & Dean on MAD Wednesday to discuss why many feel that this ban will have a negative impact on the lives of many in our community.

The TGA are hosting public meetings to get community feedback in Melbourne and Sydney, see details below.

Sydney Thursday 31st January – details here

Melbourne Thursday 7 February – details here

We are strongly encouraging the community attend these meeting as the outcome will inform the TGA decision to ban or further restrict the use of amyl.

If this affects or concerns you, show the TGA why by adding your voice or coming along.
