Daylesford set to burst with diverse rainbow pride this Chillout Festival

From 7- 11th March 2019 ChillOut Festival; Australia’s premier celebration of Queer Country Pride, returns to regional Victoria’s LGBTI mecca Daylesford – inviting visitors to dance, prance, chill and shake a tail feather throughout five days of fabulous festivity.

Dean & Robbie from MAD Wednesday caught up with Festival Director Merryn Tinkler to find out what was on the menu for this years Chillout.

With music, theatre, circus, dance and pool parties, sporty pursuits, a children’s program and a stellar line up of performers Chillout  continues to present a program as diverse as the queer community and its extended family of friends and supporters themselves.

This year the Festival kicks off with a sumptuous cocktail party and art auction at the Palais Hepburn to raise funds for ChillOut’s new Raising Rainbows initiative. When some students from a Central Victorian Secondary College were heckled and abused for raising the Rainbow flag at their school.
