/ Mad Wednesdays / Arts / AJA breaks the Box Office with debut album & Australian tour

To coincide with the release of their new album Box Office, critically acclaimed gender queer rapper AJA is launching their world tour in Australia this week; and took time out of their sound check to chat to Robbie & Dean on MAD Wednesday.

Performing in Sydney on Thursday March 21st, Melbourne Sunday March 24th, Perth Wednesday March 27th and Brisbane Saturday March 30th these one night only live performances feature Aja’s 15 track album in a never been seen before show that’s bound to be remembered for its originality and authenticity.

Just days before hitting our shores with this tour, the non-binary queer artist and performer expressed on their instagram that they will no longer be talking about RuPaul’s Drag Race, the reality tv franchise that made them a global name.

Instead the drag artist, who is bringing their unique queer flavour into the masc-dominated world of hip-hop, is uplifting fans and empowering them to be in control of their own destiny just as they are. Something the boys from MAD Wednesday were more than eager to talk about.

You can grab your copy of AJAs debut album Box Office and other merchandise here.
