New music to weekdays (November 27, 2013)

Neon Nights

Demi Lovato – Neon Lights (UMA)
Avicii feat Audra Mae – Addicted to You (UMA)
Jessica Mauboy – Beautiful (SME)
Jessica Sutta – Lights Out (citrusonic-stereophonic)
Brad Wolfe – Tough Love (Melodic Music)
Man Meadow – Kill the Dance Floor (Wide Vistas Entertainment)

US singer-songwriter and current US X Factor judge and Glee guest star Demi Lovato releases her second single in Australia (third in the USA) from her fourth studio album. Her first single, “Heart Attack”, was a top 5 chart performer and certified double platinum in the US, but failed to reach the top 40 here in Australia. Neon Lights is a banging dance-pop track and we hope it will elicit a more favourable response for Demi.

Swede Tim Bergling, aka Avicii, has again employed the use of a relatively obscure vocalist, this time Oklahoma-based folk-rock singer Audra Mae, for the fourth single from True. We suspect “Addicted to You” will be as big as the three platinum-selling singles preceding it.

Aussie favourite Jessica Mauboy has released her third single and the title track from her new album, Beautiful.

Former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta’s third single, Lights Out, from her debut album, Sutta Pop, has reached the top 5 in the American dance charts. So, despite no official radio service in Australia, we’ll give it a run.

We also have two gay contributions to the mix this week, the first from Melbourne local Brad Wolfe with “Tough Love” and the second from Swedish duo Man Meadow with Kill the Dance Floor – the video for which is squarely directed at boys who like boys!

Set your alarm and tune into Rochén and Michael on the six at six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday morning at 6am.
