Sydney-based singer-songwriter Kirsty Lee Peters aka KLP kicks off our new music this week with an absolute banger. ‘Back in the Room’ is the second single from her debut EP Ember and we know you will love this one.

A young Aussie producer who is going places is 21-year-old Brisbane-based Young Franco (Joey Da Rin). For the last couple of years he’s been a regular feature of Triple J’s Unearthed, and his latest single, ‘Miss You’, is a really strong production that we think will launch him into the mainstream.

French disco drummer-producer-composer Cerrone has been in the business for over 40 years. He’sĀ sold over 30 million records worldwide, including eight million copies of his 1977 album Supernature (Cerrone III), which is considered his magnum opus. After a break in production of seven years, ‘Move Me’, featuring London-based American singer-songwriter Brendan Reilly, is the first single from a 33rd studio album and a modern homage to the 70s disco sound.

Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara is heard during the end credits of the 2016 Disney animated movie Moana with the song ‘How Far I’ll Go’. During the movie and on the soundtrack album the song is performed by Auli’i Cravalho. Alessia’s version is now a single and already charting in the top 30 here in Australia.

Set your alarm and tune into Michael on the Six at Six for the newest songs to the mix, every weekday at 6am Melbourne time.
