New music to weekdays (29 November 2017)
Starley Been Meaning to Tell You (Leeyou & Danceey Remix Edit) (TINTED / UMA)
Luis Fonsi & Demi Lovato Échame La Culpa (UMA)
Bruno Mars Chunky (WMA / ATL)
Baptiste Start Again (GDS)
Mobin Master & Tate Strauss ft Frida Harnesk Dreams (Safari Radio Edit) (SAFARI)

It may not officially be summer, but Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix is heating things up in preparation for those long summer days to come.

Call on Me was a huge debut for Aussie lass Starley, charting the world over. She’s released her third single, ‘Been Meaning to Tell You’, a little while ago, but we’ve been hanging for a summery remix. Leeyou and Danceey have come through with the goods on this one and we think you’ll be dancing along.

Speaking of dancing, Luis Fonsi & Demi Lovato have teamed up for some sizzling Latin love in ‘Échame La Culpa’. A good chunk of it may be in Spanish, but with the success of Luis’ last release in ‘Despacito’ and our own addition of CNCO, it won’t feel out of place in the mix. It’s certainly not out of place in people’s playlists, with the track being streamed 2.4 million times every day.

24K Magic has gone four-times platinum for Bruno Mars, but that hasn’t stopped him releasing a brand-new single. ‘Chunky’ comes in the lead-up to the TV telecast of Bruno’s live performance at NYC’s Apollo Theatre early in December. It’s also hot on the heels of his swag of American Music Awards last week. It’s funky Bruno at his best and we think you’ll be grooving along.

Melbourne-based Baptiste has been busy with local band Who Is Zoe? for a while, but has now decided to head out on her own. ‘Start Again’ is the lead single from her debut EP, due in May next year. It marks a change in sound for this queer singer-songwriter, and we like it.

Mobin Master is a Melbourne favourite and you’ll be familiar with his sounds during the day on JOY. He’s taken Gabrielle’s 1993 classic and given it a polish for 2017. ‘Dreams’ features the vocals of Swedish-born singer and DJ Frida Harnesk, who is now based in Melbourne and has performed at a number of festivals and dance parties. You’ll be wanting to sing along!
