Happy Radiothon! JOY is 25 Years Proud and can only stay on air to be the voice of the LGBTIQ and allied communities with your support. Did you know that only 0.4% of our listeners financially support the station? If you love Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix, become a member or donate now and go into the draw to win a holiday to LA.

Leading the charge this week is the newest from queer British singer MNEK. He’s teamed up with Hailee Steinfeld for something to brighten your day. ‘Colour’ is the latest single from MNEK’s forthcoming debut album and it must’ve been written especially for JOY. We reckon it’ll bring a rainbow to your workday!

James Todman and Brett Allen are Rave Radio and this local DJ combo had huge success with their last single, ‘Morning Light’. The Gold Coast lads are back with ‘Make It Better’, featuring the vocals of LA-based singer Go Comet! It’s a splash of summer tropics as we settle into a chilly winter, and is sure to keep you toasty.

While we’re in Queensland, Brisbane-based singer Hobart Curtis has dropped a new bop. The synths are out for ‘No Going Back’, with a chorus that we think you’ll be humming along to. Hobart wants more time to stay in his car, and this piece of electro-pop might make you want to do the very same.

Another Queenslander, Amy Shark, has been making waves with her latest release, and we’ve finally jumped on the bandwagon. ‘I Said Hi’ is the lead single from Amy’s debut album, Love Monster, out 13 July. ‘I Said Hi’ peaked at #8 on the Aussie chart and is being played on radio all over the country. We thought you’d enjoy some pop-rock from a singer who’s going to be massive.

James Arthur is currently in Australia plugging his brand-new single. You might have seen him perform ‘You Deserve Better’ on The Voice over the weekend, and you’ll certainly be hearing it played all over the place in the coming weeks. This British singer-songwriter won UK X Factor in 2012 and is working on his third studio album, which we should see by year’s end.

Italian DJ, producer, guitarist and pianist Keynes has released his debut single. ‘I’ll Be With You’ features the vocals of a mystery woman and should get you drumming your fingers on your desk. Apparently, Keynes loves callisthenics. This song would certainly be a great one to do some squats to.
