The (unofficial) long weekend hasn’t stopped a heap of new tunes being added to Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix.

Sydney-based singer-songwriter Lucy Neville first hit daytimes in February with ‘Ransom’. Since then, she’s been racking up the online listeners, has performed at sold-out concerts and has written a few new songs. One of them is ‘Wasting Our Time’, and you won’t be sorry for dancing to this bop.

LAVRENCE is a queer singer-songwriter from the Sydney suburbs. He’s put pen to paper to write about being your true self and letting the real you be seen by the world in ‘Shine’. The electro-pop track is his debut release and we think it’ll give you something to talk about.

One of the biggest songs of the year has come from American producer benny blanco. Reaching #2 on the Aussie charts, Eastside is still on high rotation on radio around the country. We have been waiting for his collaboration with Calvin Harris, though, and it’s finally here. ‘I Found You’ sees the Scot singing for the first time since ‘My Way’ and we’re not complaining! This is sure to be a summer banger, and the video has all the moves you’ll need for the clubs.

Back in 2007, Lady Gaga and producer RedOne wrote ‘The Greatest Thing’. It didn’t end up fitting her hit debut album The Fame, and got shelved. They gave the song to Cher in 2011 for Closer to the Truth, but drama ensued when she didn’t like her vocals. Gaga suggested that they should do a duet and the world waited for its release. That day never came. From Gaga’s displeasure to how her vocals were produced to RedOne going MIA, the duet never saw the light of day, until the vocals were leaked in 2013. Fast forward through more drama and we get to 2018, where out-and-proud Matt Consola and Aussie Division 4 have got their hands on the vocal stems and put some new life into this massive duet. It’s dance floor ready and we think you’ll love it.

Guy Sebastian is heading back to his roots in his 11th studio album due next year. The lead single, ‘Before I Go’, gives you a taste of this soulful sound. A pop ballad about self-belief and taking control of your own destiny, it features a gospel choir to provide depth and feeling. Give this one a few listens and we think you’ll be feeling it too.

Last year, Le Youth released Clap Your Hands, featuring the vocals of a hot new pop star. This year, 24-year-old singer Ava Max has found fame with a song that spent a month at the top of the Australian Spotify Viral chart, had over 56.8 million streams around the world, and peaked at #1 on the iTunes chart across Europe. Sweet But Psycho is a pop song that is made to get stuck in your head, but don’t be scared – let the earworm take over!

Dutch DJ Oliver Heldens has just been awarded ninth place in DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs of 2018. He has also jumped labels and is now signed to RCA. The first release from his new home is ‘Fire in My Soul’, featuring the vocals of Zimbabwean-born, LA-based singer Shungudzo. With whistles, drums, cowbells and a pumping beat, it’s a track made to dance to from the very first second. Don’t miss out on enjoying this one!
