Welcome February with this line-up of amazing new music to Melbourne’s most uplifting music mix!

After releasing ‘Pockets’ last year, Queensland trio Sunset City are back with a summery delight. Parker, Rob and Matt heat up your tropical pool party with ‘Forget It All’ alongside JOY favourite Samantha Jade. This one is full of funk and perfect for sipping your pina colada to.

American singer-songwriter Lauv has been busy racking up the platinum albums, especially in Australia, where his 2017 single ‘I Like Me Better’ went quadruple platinum. Just before going back into the studio to record his debut album, Lauv has teamed up with out-and-proud Aussie Troye Sivan for ‘i’m so tired…’ This one is an anti-love-story bop that we think you’ll be singing along to.

Swedish duo Galantis can do no wrong. Christian Karlsson and Linus Eklöw have returned with another banger to dance to while you’re at work. This time, they’ve borrowed the talents of American band OneRepublic to bring you ‘Bones’. Turn this one up – you’ll feel it right to the bone!

This Saturday, ten Aussie acts vie for a ticket to Israel to represent us in the Eurovision Song Contest. Three of these Eurovision: Australia Decides entries join JOY’s daytime mix this week, alongside Courtney Act, who we added a couple of weeks ago. Brisbane-based group Sheppard hope to win with ‘On My Way’, even though it wasn’t written specifically for the competition. Indigenous and queer duo Electric Fields drop their debut single, ‘2000 and Whatever’, performed in both English and Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara. Bachelor Girl’s Tania Doko delivers a song about those moments when you feel like you’re being stretched in all directions, ‘Piece of Me’. Find out more about all of this year’s Australia Decides artists in the JOYEurovision podcasts.
