Want some new music? We’ve got you covered.

Gay American musician Max Ernst and his twin brother, Spencer, debuted as The Walking Sticks in 2011. A few years later, after a change in style and the addition of Spencer’s girlfriend, Chelsea Lee, to the group, they became SHAED. They released their debut single last year, which was quickly picked up by a large electronics company to advertise its new laptop. ‘Trampoline’ has recently been reworked to include the vocals of ex-1D member Zayn, but we’ve gone with the newly minted pop radio edit to give it a bit of a daytime lift.

Darwin-born VASSY is a JOY favourite. Having been based in LA for a while now, she’s made a name for herself writing songs for movies, TV shows and advertisements. Thankfully, she hasn’t forgotten about delivering big dance-pop numbers. Not only does ‘Trouble’ have an earworm of a chorus, but its percussion-heavy bridge will have you clapping along.

In 2004, the sounds of I Am Tha 1 brought everyone to the dance floor. Aussie producer mrTimothy and American singer Inaya Day were responsible for that dance smash and they have something new. ‘Hands Up’, with a sexy mix of house and funk, is made to do exactly what it describes. We reckon you’ll be primed to party.

Hot on the heels of Then What comes another melody-rich offering from Illy. The Aussie hip-hop artist has teamed up with Kiwi singer Robinson for ‘Lean on Me’. This release is another example of the slight change that Illy has made to his sound, but still retaining the feel of his last album Two Degrees. We think you’ll appreciate this one.

After having been streamed over 2 million times, the lead single from Lewis Capaldi‘s Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent has finally dropped on Aussie radio. ‘Bruises’ was originally released in 2017, giving Lewis platinum certifications in the UK and Canada. The track has just been re-released, along with orchestral and acoustic versions. You’ll be hearing the Steve Void remix during your workday.

American DJ-producer Diplo has been busy of late, being part of Major Lazer and LSD while still doing his own thing. One of those things is a country project, where he goes by his own name of Thomas Wesley. ‘Lonely’ is the third collaboration from this project, which involves the Jonas Brothers. It’s more Jonas pop than country, and we’re all for it.

It’s been a little while since we heard from Danish band Lukas Graham. Their last Aussie hit, Love Someone, scored an ARIA double-platinum certification, and we’ve been waiting since then for news about their next album. ‘Lie’ written by lead singer Lukas Forchhammer about the initial weeks of his relationship with his fiancée, could be the lead single from that album. It’s certainly one to sing along loudly to in the car.
