Five-member British group Steps have arrived to save 2020 with a brand-new album, which is due on 27 November. Written by Sia, ‘What the Future Holds’ is the title track and sees Claire, Faye, Lee, Lisa, and out-and-proud H turn the pop banger dial up to 10. It’s great to have them back to bring some fun to our lives.

As we continue to live in iso, needing to feel the love of those around us is becoming more important. French DJ-producer David Guetta is calling for the world to band together in ‘Let’s Love’, along with bisexual Aussie singer-songwriter Sia. The frequent collaborators have produced a big track with a driving beat and a memorable chorus that we reckon you’ll love.

Released on Global Suicide Prevention Day, or R U OK? Day for us Aussies, ‘OK Not to Be OK’ is a song to start the conversation. American producer Marshmello and queer singer-songwriter Demi Lovato want us to know that not feeling right is all right and there’s always someone around to help. If you need some help with things going on around you, head to joy.org.au/support.

Ahead of Clean Bandit‘s third studio album later this year comes ‘Tick Tock’, featuring British singer Mabel. The trademark sound of strings mark this as a Clean Bandit orchestration, and Mabel’s vocals give it an extra layer of polish. The original includes something from American rapper 24kGoldn, but we’ve decided to let the Brits shine on their own.

Hailing from the NSW Central Coast, Un-Ti had their big break with ‘Caught Up’ in 2018. Tens of millions of streams and a few singles later, Ben, Lachie and Reid have dropped ‘Stay’. The boys have delivered a five-star-rated banger with this one, giving you multiple opportunities to show off your ability to hold a note as you sing along. We reckon it’ll stay in your head for days.

Tate McRae made a mark when she was the first Canuck to reach the final of the American version of So You Think You Can Dance at the age of 13. Now 17, the singer-songwriter has continued the streak of success thanks to her new single, ‘you broke me first’, which was huge on TikTok and peaked at #15 on the Australian chart. German DJ Luca Schreiner has reworked the track to give it a dance edge, making it perfect for your workday.

It’s time to get funky with Spanish DJ-producers David Penn and KPD. They’ve pulled out all the disco tricks for ‘Jerkin”, creating an infectiously camp dance track. We think you’ll be jiving, shuffling and hustling when this blasts from your speakers.

We love a touch of RnB, and Alicia Keys delivers. ‘Love Looks Better’ is made for an arena performance, with drums, claps and singalongs galore to get the crowd pumped. It’s the last instant-grat track from the American singer’s self-titled album due this Friday, and the feel-good bop that we need right now. Share the love and sway along.
