Stay ahead of the pack with these brand-new tunes hitting JOY daytimes.

Kieran Lancini made waves in Tamworth after winning Star Maker in 2002, and then went to London to try to make it big. The Queenslander ended up putting his music career on hold, but made a comeback earlier this year with the release of ‘The Reason’. The comeback continues with a country-pop crossover remixed by a Melbourne favourite. ‘I Need You’ goes from being a beautiful ballad to a party starter, thanks to out-and-proud DJ Argonaut.

While Melbourne was in lockdown, Tones And I was writing. From that came ‘Fly Away’, a song about chasing your dreams and finding genuine happiness. It has all the hallmarks of a Tones And I hit, along with a subtle change in instrumentation, and we think you’ll adore it.

Ghanaian-Australian sister duo Kinder have used a childhood trip to Ghana as the inspiration for their brand-new banger. ‘Come Along’ will take you to the streets of the African nation, with sounds of spinning bottles and feet pounding concrete paths woven throughout it. This song, which features Sydney-based artist A.GIRL, erupts with sounds of joy and celebration and is sure to be a summer anthem.

Swedish duo Vi. have been creating quite a buzz locally with their new release. ‘Supposed to Be’ is an upbeat electro-pop track co-written by Aussie legend Tania Doko. Per Berglin and Adrian Bellan feature fellow Swede VAALEA on vocals for a song about the reality of relationships. We think you’ll love it.

Out-and-proud American DJ-producer Mark Picchiotti has taken his feel-good funk to a brand-new label. ‘I Got U’ is one of the first releases on Club Studio 54’s new imprint, and it’s exactly what you would have heard in a 70s summer disco. The song features fellow out-and-proud American singer Javi Star and DJ-rapper Amani Jae, who add a touch of disco cool.

This week’s additions end with a bang thanks to Joe Stone. Following up from his last banger, ‘Superstar’, the Dutch DJ has dropped ‘Feeling Dynamite’, which does exactly what it says on the box. It’s a toe-tapping delight, made even better thanks to the vocals by Ally Brooke, who you might know best as a past member of Fifth Harmony. We think your ears will explode with glee when this blasts out of your speakers.
