David Micallef, President of GLOBE Melbourne talks to Dean Beck about the 2014 GLOBE Grants and reveals the forthcoming inaugural GLOBE Community Awards. Dean catches up with a couple of the grants recipients and reveals exclusively who will judge Victoria’s most prestigious LGBTI Awards.

In the studio Dean talks to Hayden Ostrom Brown who was recently elected for a second term as the National Leader of the Australian Democrats. Recently Hayden went public about being gay which has clearly strengthened his resolve to ensure the Democrats become a viable option for Australia’s voting public ahead of the next Federal Election. Articulate, passionate and charismatic, Mr Ostrom Brown’s enthusiasm is a good start for a party which once held the balance of power for two decades then faded into oblivion.

Owen Beddall joins us in the studio to discuss his book Confessions of a Qantas Flight Attendant – True Tales and Gossip from the Galley, where he dishes the dirt on the glamorous world of flying with an Australian icon.

Then Ben Riley from Star Observer brings us up to date with the latest LGBTI news from around the country and reflects on AIDS 2014.
