Tribute to Tim Lennox – Celebrating 20 years at JOY 94.9

Today, JOY 94.9’s Director of News and Current Affairs Tim Lennox celebrated 20 years voluntary service. In a special episode of On The Line, Dean Beck chatted to Tim about his time at the station and aired tributes from some of the many people he has guided and mentored throughout the years.

Also on the show today, the VAC’s Team Leader of Health Promotions, Harry Mc Anulty joined us to discuss some of the new ways in which the organisation is connecting to the community. The recent Hypothetical held during midsumma was a huge success and can now be viewed online.
VAC have just launched a new campaign to inform people of syphilis. Check out Wayne and Kevin, a very funny approach to a very serious matter.
Plus Harry talks about the success of the recent information evenings or forums that VAC have been holding. The latest forum is being held on February 19 and will focus on the lived experience of someone currently engaged in the PrEP trial. Bookings to this forum are essential.
