Foster Care

Foster carers are truly one-of-a-kind. They open their hearts and homes for a short time to animals in need and tend to them with the love compassion and care they would give their own pet. All this with the full knowledge that there will be a day when their foster pet will take their first steps into their new lives without them.

On this edition of Pets-A-Loud we talk about pet foster and how foster carers provide vital love and care to animals needing a little extra TLC.

Also on the show:

  • Lost Dogs’ Home Foster Care Coordinator Elena talks to us about what characteristics are needed to be a pet foster carer.
  • We chat to foster carers Ian and Janis about their time as foster carers with The Lost Dogs’ Home.
  • Adoption nurse and foster carer Rebecca talks to us about the time she took care of beloved Great Dane Prince Frederick in foster care.
