QNN – Australian Queer News for week of 08 Sept 2021

News, Sport

QNN provides communities across the country with the latest in local, national and international LGBTIQA+ news. This week, the government blocks changes to workplace protections laws that would have supported trans, gender diverse and intersex Australians, and Victoria commits to strengthening its state anti-vilification laws.
And in sport, team LGBTQ+ has finished in 15th place in Tokyo Paralympics medal count just ahead of Spain, Hungary and Poland, Carl Nassib has made history yet again as the first openly gay regular season NFL player, and Bryan Ruby has also made history as the first active pro baseball player to publicly come out as gay.
