Johnny Depp went through a huge physical transformation for the film (contact lenses to give him startling blue eyes, partially shaved head, fake teeth, etc), really puts him into character and gives him a lot to work with in terms of physical presence and the strong Boston accent. Joel Edgerton has no trace of an Aussie accent as he plays the ultimate anti-hero who works for the FBI but is more loyal to his friends, family and community and lets that effect his judgement with devastating results. Dakota Johnson is out of her depth and seems too young to play the part of Whitey’s partner and mother to his child.

Tonight on Channel 10’s Wonderland, we see Grace Barnes (Brooke Satchwell) and Carlos come to another hurdle in their relationship. Is this the beginning of the end?

Logie Award winning actress Brooke is a household name thanks to her 1994 breakthrough role on Neighbours. She won a Logie Award for Most Popular New Talent and a People’s Choice Award for Most Popular New talent and a People’s Choice Award for Most Popular Teen Idol for her role as Anne Wilkinson. She played Steve Bisley’s daughter in Water Rats for an extended stint, followed by a two year run on White Collar Blue as well as treating the boards in The Caribbean Tempest alongside Bill Hunter and The Graduate with Wendy Hughes, all before she was 21.

Cast in the mini series Tripping Over, and the tele-movie Small Claims, away from drama, Brooke appeared on Play School to the delight of parents and children alike.

Brooke was a regular on Packed To The Rafters and on the panel show Dirty Laundry, now in it’s second series. She also has a busy career outside acting in documentary and short film production, continuing to develop her own projects.

We learnt today that outside her campaigning for causes such as RSPCA, World Vision and Make A Wish Foundation – she truly is a super lovely down to earth lady. A meatloaf lover (the musician and the dish), the girl from Frankston was a joy to have in our studios.

From working on the set of “About A Boy,” with Minnie Driver, playing a character named “Pussywagon”, to acting on one of the most popular lesbian web series, “Kiss Her I’m Famous”. Not only are we celebratory that this lady has kissed The Real L Word’s Tracy Ryerson on screen, but she’s one of the family. The femme family. A raging femme lesbotronic. What on earth is a lesbotronic? Is it some software program that is downloaded into our DNA to turn us gay? No. We’ll let Ilea explain that one. She’s caught the gay. And there’s no cure. And when asked who she would turn straight for, she says, “Anna Kendrick.” Again, we’ll let Ilea explain that one.

Matthews’ performing talent has seen her recently step into comedy to where she has been making people laugh out loud along the west coast of the US.

And now, teaming up with an Emmy nominated writer, she’s working on a script called “Revealing Nothing,” which is about the trials and tribulations of a girl battling with her sexuality in a mormon community. We’re crossing our fingers that we’ll see her film at one of our Queer Film Festivals here in Australia soon! Have a listen to our chat with her.
