Its the big day – the AFL Grand Final kicks in to action, and of course politics in Victoria is not far from our mind. JOY 94.9 board member Geoffrey Devine is Pete Dillon’s co-host today and our first guest is Farrah Tomazin – Spring Street specialist from The Age.  James McDonald from Palmer United Party joined us to tell us – well, very little about the PUP candidates and policies for the Victorian Election, before we turn our attention to terrorism with Dr Damien Kingsbury.

2014-AFL-Grand-Final

Its a special thing to play in an AFL Grand Final – North Melbourne legend Brent Harvey looks back to his 1999 Grand Final win, as he prepares to enjoy the game between Hawthorn and Sydney with almost 100,000 other footy fans. Stephen Viciaroli is in from Team Melbourne and Sarah Godfrey is a Mental health specialist who provides some great advice ion finding a counsellor.

We finish with some of our own ‘Street Talk’.  Our producers Josh and Zoe hit Bourke Street to chat to the people for predictions for the big game, and we meet some gay Swans fans who have made the trip from Canberra and Sydney to be at the game.  A gay look at the AFL Grand Final.
