The Year Of The Goat

News & Politics, Podcast, Society & Culture

Macca, Pete Dillon, Anna Brown from the Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby, and Mark Adams from Escape Pod are this week’s hosts, looking back extensively on 2014, the year that was.

It started with the Martin Place siege and the power of social media with the #Illridewithyou movement. We examined the ship of fools that is the federal Senate, revisited the Tasty Raid and the apology from Victoria Police, and we looked at a some of those who publicly declared their sexuality in 2014. We clapped our hands together in celebration of the expunging of historical convictions for gay sex – the biggest LGBTI story in Victoria in 2014.

A quick chat to Cara Collange from Highpoint Shopping centre about the crazy hours some of the shopkeepers were keeping in the madness that is the festivus shopping season.

We reviewed the good and the very bad in 2014 films with resident cinemaphile, Steven Russell and Mary Dalmau from Readers Feast opened the best books of the year.

We went dancing in the dark, walking through the park and reminiscing.
